Parts for my new PC! Browse Oppo in Windows 10 with octocore hyper threading power!
Asus Prime X470 Pro with a AMD Ryzen 2700x 8 core 16 thread CPU. AMD Radeon 5700 graphics. Almost went with a Nvidia 1660ti,but this is newer and 20% faster according to gpu.userbenchmark. Plus AMD CPU + AMD graphics.
The RAM is 2x 8GB DDR4 3200mhz. No fancy lights, im cheap :)
The ol ASUS Z77 with Intel i 2700k CPU. Still going strong, but aging.
I’ll be removing the fan controller (never used it much) and eventually the manual case light controller and get one that uses ASUS Aura lighting software.

Ooo metal!
Ooo plastic.
with a metal griddle!
Cant wait to build. I’ll be keeping the same case, PSU (Seasonic X650 gold), and fans. Maybe some RGB fans down the road. Will be giving the empty case a deep clean with the air compressor.
I’ll sell the i7 CPU and motherboard and use the profits to get a bigger monitor. Hopefully a 32 inch :D

Very nice. I just finished my Ryzen build on Friday, I’m loving the power.

make sure you get a freesync monitor! I’m using a 21:9 3 5" curved and couldn’t be happier! UHD 21:9 is the real bomb. you’ll never use normal screens again.

Hows your boost control? I went from 1500x to 3700x and its just locked on high....not thats a bad thing. but 4.2 all core all the time is cool, id just like to see it operate as it should.

G ood choices, I’ve recently upgraded to a 2700X on an X470 MB with 16gb 3200MHz DDR4 as well (you probably already know but incase you don't, you need to set the memory speed to 3200 in the bios) , went from an i7 3770 and the different in performance is night and day. Where my old i7 used to be pretty much maxed out while gaming the 2700X is barely much above idle, is so much performance for the money. I stuck with my old GTX980TI for now, will upgrade that next year. I went with a stupid fast Intel PCI SSD for the OS as that was on sale as well.

My 3900x fluctuates between 3.8 and 4.1. The included cooler isn’t quite up to the task of the 3900x. Check your BIOS settings, there’s sometimes a setting which will lock to maximum performance.

I’m looking at 360mm AIO water coolers. As much cooling as I can get short of a custom loop and a buttload of thermal mass.

My 3700x at 4.2 and decent paste is about perfect for corsairs 280 rgb aio system . But it’s not the best system. If you get the best performing 280 system and some nice kryonaut, it should do well for you. Cause OCing these chips really doesn't get you much, and can actually lock you into speed that's less than Max single core boosts. I guess mines binned nicely, so I'm lucky there.
